Do you all rinse it off before feeding?
I never rinse the seeds

Rinsing is not necessary with this method. I use 1/2 tsp. Virkon-S to 1 liter of seed and 1 1/3 liter of water. Let it sit for maximum of 2 hours. Then drain and set the container aside. Once the seed has chitted, it goes in the freezer. When I make up eggfood, I add the chitted seed straight from the freezer.
3 Purple Grenadiers, 1 Goldbreast + 1 cat.
