They both look grey to me, I will look at the pictures a bit closer. Usually both parents have to be split to get a mutation in the babies so your babies are most likely normal. Lux may be split to fawn.

I see the white tail feathers alot in normal greys. It can be because she was plucked that they are growing in white

Katie, there are only a few mutations that give clues for a splt in the tail feathers...and it is not always exact...the proof as said before is when you breed the bird...until then it is difficult to say if the bird is split unless there are definate indicators as stated in previous posts. Right now your birds are what we started they are in previous topics.

also if you could try resizing your future pictures to a smaller size it would help in going back to look at them and posting a reply. They are rather large.

Katie...it is ok....it is just hard when you hope you have a certain mutation and it isn't...trust me, I've been there...so you need to learn what you need to combine what you have with what you need to create the mutation. It takes a while to learn the whole mutation thing...in the mean time read the websites we gave you, it will help!

i have i have! efinch basically gives a general definition and such. I really need to stop being impatient is all.
goodness.
well the babies are getting their beak colors. still not feathers but again, they are only 31 days old today!

Just checked, I also noticed that it goes in order of size of tear mark for my chicks, Gus has a regular one-though it seems short.
Falcon has a thinner one and then Tahny has this REALLY thin tear mark!
