The first pair had two babies. One they never fed, the other they fed for probably five days. I found both babies dead on the floor. The second pair had 5 fertile eggs. I found two dead babies on the floor, so I checked the nest. One live baby, two eggs (one early DIS, one late DIS). I am handfeeding the baby, but it is not doing well. Sigh. Next clutches are going to the Societies, I've had enough of this.

Oh No Sally...I am so sorry to hear that
. What a shame...I will pray for your little hand-fed baby. I don't blame you for being DONE!!! I have ZERO plans of ever breeding CB's...so whether Bert ever gets a hen or not, he will NEVER be a daddy. Sending you big HUGS

Had a very good week.
3 redfaced parrot finch babies, 3 redheaded [yellow wing] aurora babies and a cordon bleu baby.
