Very lovely,I 'm forward to having a pair of Owl finches ,but I can't find them in SH.What a shame!!!

atarasi - I didn't know that. Of course, most of my babies have been species that won't tolerate nest checks, so I haven't seen as many crops as I would like! Always learning something new.

That's one of the perks about having societies! They are so tolerant....at least mine are. I've read that new very young chicks are unable to digest whole seeds, and I also noticed a yellowish fluid in their crops for the first few days.
