Re: New Flight Cage
This is the same flight I got with my first pair of gouldians I love it! I now have mom, dad, and 5 babies in the flight with no quarrels, lots of space. I'd like to get another however it seems they will no longer ship to Canada. And the price is up $200 from when I ordered it in January 2014.
hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Welcome to the forum.

Re: New Flight Cage
Welcome!! your birds are just lovely!!! Aren't Gouldian's such a nice species? I love their whispered song also. I have one, who is my "special" gouldian as he only has one foot. He has this one whistle... that, it's ALMOST a human whistle... I love it, and out of my three he's the only one I've seen/heard do it... so I always know it's him!!! I'm so glad you got gouldians and like them. your cage set up seems great, and I strongly recommend those feeders. The only problem I found with them and my gouldians is that unlike other finch species, they aren't "touchers" meaning they don't cuddle, or touch each other when they are perched or when eating (i have zebras that will practically stand ON TOP of each other and don't care) So I noticed one day that one of them was in that feeder (cuz they do have to kind of go "in" a little. And I saw my other one fly up and land on the side of the cage (Spiderman Style) and he stayed like that and waited until the other one was done eating to go in and eat!!! It was pretty funny, but my point is, usually they like to eat around the same time, so instead of them having to wait (Spideee style) i offer 3 other feeders (one is more of a "treat" cup as it has the sprouted seed, and a 4th cup has egg) but for the regular seed, I have two the seed hopper, and another feeder. Just letting you know my experience so you can keep an eye out for that behavior, as I'm sure, like me, you don't want your birds to have to wait to eat!!! Although this may not happen to you if you have a bonded pair, or even a M/F pair, mine are all males and maybe the dynamic is different with different sexes, but wanted to share!!!
Also, one other thing mine like is a swing. I bought a swing, and they do like that, but what they like the best is I bought fake greens that are kind of like.... vine - y? So i can pull it off the main stock in kind of strips I guess you'd call it? Anyway if you can kind of picture what I'm saying, i took the "strip and hung it in the cage more to give them a place to hide from me, or the kids when they come into the room... turned out it was the best thing!! The way it hung in the cage was on the idea of how a hammoc falls and they use that as a perch/swing and they LOVE it!!! I think that is the only two cents I can add....
But again, welcome to the forum, and good luck with your new additions They are beautiful!!!

You can use a US mailing address and often get items shipped for free within the US. For example - there is a company called "Ship Happens." You can google them. Their fee is very small. They are at the Sumas border. I provided this one to my mother & I know she has used it with no problems. Depending on who is guarding the border, duty varies. I know people who say they have never paid duty for anything under $200. I know others who say they always pay. Attitude maybe??
