oh... sorry Willliep. I get the magazine Birds and Blooms and they just happend to have it in the back of that book. I thought the nest were a great price. My birds love them. Especially my society and courdon blues. Gouldians don't seem the least interested in them.

BTW ..... the little courdon baby is doing great. I am expecting this one to survive. The society finches are now keeping its little crop full. I am going to post a picture this weekend. It will be my first one to raise.

The parents have started again....... one egg so far.

Great news on the BCCB baby! Also, I've been told that it is not always easy to get Societies to raise CB babies, due to the difference in appearance and begging patterns, so if you have a pair that will feed them, they are jewels!

Took the baby out of the society nest today to band it. I was going to try to take a picture, but it went bananas. It screamed the whole time I was banding it as if I was killing it.
So I quickly put it back. Poor thing was scared to death. But it looks great and took off across the floor. I had to chase it down.
Never had one to behave like this before.

Awe thats so adorable. I finally got my pair of Cordons Saturday at the bird show. I was so upset because as we were pulling out of the parking lot to go back home i saw from a distance a pair of red throated parrot finches so ofcourse i had to pull up to her and ask her where she got them. It was the last pair but she promised me some as soon as she has her fledglings. I also got a pair of shaft tails.
Society Finches, Fire Finches, Strawberry Finches, Owl Finches, Plum Head Finch, Goldbreast Waxbill Finches, Orange Cheek Waxbill Finches, Blue Capped Cordon Finches, Zebra Finches, Bronzewing Mannikin Finches, Red-Cheek Cordon Blue Finches, and Button Quail

What a cutie! The CBs all look pretty scruffy when they fledge--like they aren't quite finished yet. I love the way their little baby down sticks up on their heads, looks like the mad scientist!

Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.
