Re: Birds seem healthy (just a question)
I found that only 2 were fertile when I candled them, So we kept the two fertile ones, and the rest are plastic. and well, I am indeed running out of space to place cages, plus it'll be easier for them to handle 2 babies rather then more.
XD but they are very happy with them, and Haru is such a good mommy =DDD
And their really tiny too! XD

Re: Birds seem healthy (just a question)
Good news, I believe the babies are about 6-7 days old, Haru was nice enough to let me get a picture of one of the little babies!
The other one is under her so Yes! there is 2 babies! I hear them peeping every so often, their soo darned cute.

Haru has a tendency to move nest material a bit, there isn't anything actually hurting the baby around it's neck, it's just a piece of nesting material over the baby. Ah yes the left over eggs are plastic XDDD

Congrats on the babies! It is always so exciting to get to see and hear those little ones, never gets old. My favorite time with babies is from fledging to weaning, get to watch them explore their new world, sample new foods--it's wonderful.
And I agree with Liz, it is great to hear about our babies having babies!

Re: Birds seem healthy (just a question)
Awww they are growing and looking good. I could be mistaken but when I go back to the first pic of the chick, I think they may have been actually around 3 - 4 days old due to their size. At about 6 - 7 days of age they start getting pin feathers poking through on their wings. I am guessing they would be around 10 days old now. Can't wait for when they fledge when they are about 21 days old.
