Sorry you lost a bird. Glad the breeder can get you another one.
Javas like parakeet seed. They seem to prefer larger seeds.

Charlie is right about the parakeet seed, they also relish oats and groats, soaked seed and soaked quinoa (great source of protein)

Wow reading some of your stories about angry pairs makes me glad I seperated them when I did! I'm keeping my original pair and the second pair I'm giving to a relative. Thanks for the tips on the parakeet seed they do indeed love it :-)

You are welcome. I learnt this after my java injured a zebra finch chick toe while they were free to fly together.
