Turn the lights off, and spray them with warm water if that is not enough, as recommended by an avian vet we saw. Makes them easy to catch when you need to. The darkness calms them down and the water makes it so they can't fly as well. And the bonus is they get a bath

I have to buy a net but haven't had the problem yet. Hopefully we won't have to deal with it.

Wait till the night fall use the flash light and pick them up . That is the only way I catch birds in my aviary . I would leave the night light on afterwards so the rest of the birds in the aviary can calm down.
