well, it's really hard to tell, apparently he used to fight with his old cage mate quite often so it's entirely possible, he also might have just gotten something like a bit of feather or seed in there to start the problem, we'll probably never know. He is looking much better though, he's regrown the feathers of his white cheek stripe and some of his orange patch
he's got more a sproutin' too, I'll post pics in a few weeks when it looks like he's regrown as much as he will.

So tomorrow's the big day Alfred gets to move in with his girlfriend, who I've named Andie. Here's my most recent pics of him, taken today, almost 2 full weeks after his last cleaning. I have high hopes that he will eventually look so good you won't be able to tell anything was wrong. His previous owners suprised us after New Year's with a visit and were shocked that he still had his eye. They were however greatful that I was taking care of him, and although they felt bad, they were relieved that he's now in my care
