Hello Owlings

Thought I would take a quick snap of Owl Child, when parents were out for a snack.

This is what I found...

Yes Sally, he's getting big BUT, do you notice all those white roundish things around him ???

They were not there before!

OMG, what is going on here? Before there was just the one baby and one egg (probably infertile). Is that old egg still in there with three new eggs, or is it four new eggs? That is unusual for parents to start another clutch this soon, maybe because they have just the one baby they think they need to get on with another clutch. Keep an eye on them, to make sure they keep feeding the one baby.

Or maybe the Stars are pulling a fast one on you, and laying their eggs in the Owl nest!!

Sally

I don't know if one of those four is the old egg or not, but there are at least three new egg babies in that nest (I am assuming Owl eggs, but the way things have been going around here, who knows...... #-o )

So far I'm seeing food in Owl child's crop, so hopefully they'll continue to feed. I'll make a point of checking on him a couple of times a day (and hopefully Mr and Mrs Owl, won't decide to abandon the nest because of me). If I notice that they're not feeding enough, I'll supplement feed.
