I hope I am posting in the correct category.
My babies from my blue hen and dilute male (both parents PB) are molting up a storm right now. (They hatched Aug 13th). Comparing the two pastels and the one blue, the pastels breasts are coming in purple as you would expect, however, the blue baby's breast is coming in as pink as pink can be. There is no other way to describe the colour except PINK. I have been trying to get a pic but it's really difficult. It is definitely not a light purple but absolutely pink.
Is this something that is common with blue babies at their first molt? Any comments are most welcome and I will continue to try for a decent pic.
Thanks!

Re: Gouldian juvenile molt colour question
With my limited experience with blue Gouldians colouring up with purple / pink breasts - could it be a Lilac Breast?
