Zebra: Song or Tweet?

Hello,

Zorah (male zebra) is always making noises & also will make another series of sounds/sing when I come in the room or if I start to leave/he wants to get my attention in addition to Kezia (female zebra) ofcourse! lol

It isn't the usually tweet tweet that you hear but he does ''sing'' it allot. Also Iv found that they like music. After playing a certain CD it seemed like he as trying to tweet or sing something a bit different then his usual 'song'.

Can anyone give me some more info about Zebras & singing etc.

Well, Zebra males do sing alot and they're kinda loud. Many people find their song annoying and don't keep them for that reason. When I kept Zebs, I didn't mind their constant chatter and singing. The Zebra song is basically the same for each bird, but occasionally one will add his own unique twist to it. They certainly don't have a pleasant song like the Cordon Bleus, Strawberries or Canaries. But if you enjoy them, then that's all that matters.

LOL...well, we only have the one Zebra in the All-Boy's Cage...but I like his 'cheeping'...I can always recognize him and I find it very cheerful...

...but maybe a whole room of Zebras would be an entirely different story!

I certainly think my Zebras have a very pleasant song & sound. I love hearing them in the morning. To me, It is very peaceful to wake up to their chatter & songs. They could never annoy me! I guess that makes me a good person to have Zebras. lol
