A finch bite is nothing... a tiny pinch at best.

...yes, finch bites don't amount to much...not even my Java Rice Sparrows bite (bigger beak)...
...I agree with budgie bites...
...but the cockatiel bite wins!

A bird in the hand...requires some serious washing up...

A couple of my finches over the years have had pretty strong bites compared to the rest, but even these were not enough to break the skin or even cause a bruise--it just didn't feel very good to get pinched in that little web between your fingers. ><

Most of mine can't bite hard, though I have to say that one of my black headed nuns certainly has earned my respect in that regard - he can give you a pretty good one despite his size! Of course, nothing like the bigger birds, but still certainly gets my attention!

My Green Singing finches had the worst bite, and they are like pitbulls, they just won't let go. It still is nothing compared to even a parakeet, though.
