I have an old aquarium light from my 25 gal that I want to use for my little Zebras but my only concern is that is it full spectrum? There is a UV light that has a 'purple' tinge when turned on (I think it is UV) and a normal aquarium light that has a creamy tinge?
Another is if I turn the UV on would it harm my Zebras? I would have them sitting outside in the sun for a few hours, but it has been quite windy here in Northern California...with some rain (abnormal Californian weather

)
Thanks for the help in advance :]

That's hard to say without knowing the brand/make of the bulb and how old it is (how many hours it's been used for). If the bulb was used for more than 6 months, even if it *was* full spectrum, it's probably not producing much UV now.

Ahh... Me and my clueless-ness.
Always went with plastic plants so I was not really concerned with my aquarium lighting
