It looks like a great size Chase =D>
Would you mind posting a pic each day? That way we could see developements, and it may even help others who are thinking of diving into the same type of project. :D

This is what I need to do, so yes, please post photos as you go. Photos are so helpful, rather than trying to envision what people are doing. What size flights will those be, and are you doing one big flight, or will you divide that space into several flights?

What beautiful trees...Is that an orchard? Will you have indoor coordinating flights or just breed cages?
Awesome project :D

Very exciting, Chase! Looks like some wonderful space =P~ . Yup. I vote for pictures each time you work on it (if you have time and don't mind too much!)

I'm very excited for you!!

its a slow process this time! i have been working some killer hours!
peter can only do a little bit without me... so... its slow... i wanted them done by end of january... oh well....

i will def post update pictures....

the whole unit is 24 ft long and 12 ft deep... 8 foot at the front and 9.5 at the back...

will be 6 4ft wide flights.... the back section will have a solid roof.... and the front half will be wire to allow for sun and rain!

also the back 4 ft of the divder walls will be solid wood to allow the nesting pairs some privacy and keep the wind and rain off them!

will have an 18in tall base around the bottom filled with sand over a wire floor to keep critters out...

the "BIRDHOUSE" its attached to is full of breeding cages (pictures in other posts) and these will just be flights outside with no access indoors....

these are mainly going to be for SOFTBILLS right now...

once i build the main "SB" unit they will be moved and ill use these for finch!

as for the trees and land! OH ITS BEAUTIFUL IN THE SPRINGGGGGG! i have Citrus and other fruit trees! as well as a huge veggie garden!
