Basic immune boosting

Post by Aquakneek » Sat Apr 16, 2011 7:01 pm

Hey. So after Polo's (a zebra finch) death Im a little paranoid about the general health of my flock, which includes Marco (a zebra finch), Shilo (a cockatiel), Penny (a green cheeked conure), and now, a new male zebra finch. So far Marco appears healthy and active, though I am concerned about his foot. He only has part of one leg and so hops on the lower half of the other leg. I think as a result his foot is becoming useless. He isnt able to perch or fly (due to an old injury to his wing), so any ideas on helping him be active and use his foot would be great. Also, I need ideas on how to generally boost immunity in the flock in general. Im thinking some probiotics and some dewormer for both the new finch and Marco. Brands and dosages would be appreciated. Also, any other ideas on how to boost immunity would be great. Thanks!
