Crepe Myrtle plant, are they safe for aviaries?

Are Crepe Myrtle plants/tree safe for the birds in the aviary? Are they toxic? I read somewhere ages ago they are ok to have in there. Thanks in advance. -- Yvette

sorry it took so long for a reply but i found a link on a bird site for you..if its on a bird site it must be safe to put near your birds...right!
