They are the best singers so far. I have a pair that ALbert got for me from Maglonia Bird farm - Orange county CA. They don't have the look but we love their songs. Anyone here has experience in breeding them?
I would love to have walk in flight cage for just these little finches

Here is a thread I did when my Gray Singer hen laid eggs in the mineral cup on the front of her cage. I was able to watch the whole process, and even move the babies to a better nest. They are closely related to canaries. They like an open canary nest, though this hen prefers to use anything else--mineral cup, seed hopper, or build her own in a plant. They aren't always easy to find--many vendors don't like to carry them, as you can't sex them visually, and they look so insignificant that not everyone wants them.

i love the threads. I search last night and did not find it. Love the photos. I know they dont look that significant but their songs are lovely. My pairs are so bonded. He is feeding her even just hang out on the perch. They are in mix aviary. I am tkinking of breeding them just for fun
