Don't be sorry for starting a new thread!
I think most people will say it will cause fighting among the males. I think it would create problems, but a lady my mom knows has one zebra hen with 5 zebra males and she says there is no fighting. Part of it will be their own personalities.
My own experience: At first I had two males and for the most part they got along fine. After a while one became nest crazed and mean towards the other male. Then for a while I had one hen (Whitey) with the two males, and there was a little more bickering between the boys. Then I got another female (Pepper) thinking it would stop the bickering if they would each pair up. It ended up with both males liking Pepper better and mostly ignoring Whitey. (Except Firecracker, he's just a turd and he chases poor Whitey when she comes anywhere near him, he is always the mean one.
) The girls seem to enjoy each other's company more than that of the boys, too. I guess it will depend on their personalities, but I find I have far more problems with mixed sexes versus when I just had two males.

BeccaFigs,
Thank you for answering that question and making me laugh out loud
I read it to my son as well and we both laughed. We had zebras and there always seemed to be some scufflement going on. I pet sit for a friend and she has two hens and a male. One hen is a small fawn color and the other a grey. That grey hen chases the fawn around the cage like a mad woman! She's on a mission that hen! I think things have settled down over there because they now have a larger cage. She also added some canaries to the mix!
Thanks again!
P.S.,
Is your zebra eating herb salad out of that orange? I like your photo. I have herb salad in a pumpkin very similar looking to your photo!

Sorry for my late response...
I had no idea how big zebra's personalities are when I got them. Sometimes I wish I had gotten societies, and other times they are so entertaining that I can't imagine life without them (even the little mean turd).
That is my boy Firecracker in my picture, and I think he is eating herb salad. Good eye!
