Maybe try a drop of liquid calcium to her beak? she may have broken the egg if she is low on calcium reserves. does the egg seem whole otherwise? hopefully no broken bits left inside her. feed her egg food and eggshell, keep her warm like you are doing. best of luck! hope your little girl does fine!! Calcium and heat is a must. If she is on the ground, this is usually not a good sign. Females can get very distressed easily with egg binding. If you are worried, take her to the vet. I can tell you, having lost 4 female canaries, and one female finch to eggbinding, it is a largely fatal condition.

Sandy, I'm glad she is doing better! Not much worse than having to be away while one of the little ones needs you. You've probably already done this, but don't forget to leave her with plenty of oyster shell and/or eggshell and/or cuttlebone to help her replenish her calcium.

I look forward to hearing about new babies! =D>
