RH PB GB - Mate options??
I am not sure what mutation hen I should get for me male gouldian. He is RH PB GB/BB but I believe he is split for WB as well.. Is it possible to get silver chicks if he is paired with a YB/BB?? Or any ideas on what I should pair him with for a variety of chicks?

Go with a lb or wb silver. You can get male silver, pastel blue, dilute and yellow. Hens will be green/blue or blue.

Just be aware that the males will all be SF.wellingtoncdm wrote: Go with a lb or wb silver. You can get male silver, pastel blue, dilute and yellow. Hens will be green/blue or blue.
The PB SFYellow will be "dilute" and the LB or WB ones will appear yellow. Same with the SFYellowBlue, the PB will be "pastel" and the LB or WB will appear "silver".

Maybe this page on the Finch Information Center can help explain it:finchmix22 wrote:I'm confused. I get most of the gentics, but adding in the dilute or SF DF throws me off.

A SFYellow with a PB some people call a "dilute" and has the lighter color green body. That same bird (SFYellow) with a LB or WB will visually look yellow but still only has one gene for yellow.
A SFYellowBlue with a PB some people call a "pastel" and is a lighter blue color body. That same bird (SFYellowBlue) with a LB or WB will visually look "silver" but still only has one gene for yellow.
