When I did that last order of f/d bloodworms, I also ordered some f/d daphnia--so I'm happy to hear that it is a good substitute for live food. I once tried out a variety of fish foods, remember that the daphnia were liked, but for whatever reason, I just stuck with the f/d bloodworms.

Are we talking about the same daphnia that are a tiny (almost microscopic) aquatic crustacean that I used to feed to some of my tropical fish fry? Where would a bird encounter a meal like that? Just wondering. Bob

Interesting! I never would have even thought about giving bloodworms, plankton, shrimp or krill to a terrestrial bird. Maybe seaweed or kelp for it's B complex vitamins, calcium and iodine. Are they able to digest such "foreign" proteins? Bob
