Cage pricing!!! What a rip!

Post by Kiko » Wed Mar 05, 2008 3:02 pm

I'm still looking for cage ideas, and trying to see if I could find something local.

So one possible is the Hagen B-4261 with 3/8 bar spacing. 32Lx 14.25Dx 19H , too narrow perhaps but nice length.
Nice solid cage.

On-line I find it in Toronto for $130, but I would have to have it shipped. Phone one store here, and their price is $148.88. Phone a second store and their regular price is $189 and it is on sale for $169. Big Whoop. Add 13% tax on top.

I can get the usual one that people buy here, 31.5x 18 x36h shipped all the way across the country for $125, tax included. Might not be quite as nice (solid) a cage, but holy cow what a difference.

I'd like to pay cash rather than put a cage on credit card, but the local stores are sure making that hard to do!

Are you in Canada? If in US, you could get the HQ flight cage that is about 32x21x35 for $118, including shipping, which is a very nice, solid cage.

I am in Canada, thats the whole problem, there just aren't as many options. Depending on the timing, I can order the cage and have it sent to my in-laws this summer, and they will bring it up later. But don't laugh, the whole family is not animal crazy like me, and if I order a cage it will give everyone something to talk about!

It is almost easier to spend more up here and just bring the cage and stuff quietly into the house!
