Using a glass wall in aviary

I am building a large indoor cage/aviary for my finches. In my garage I found this great big window, and I am thinking about using it as the "viewing wall" at the front. I would make the the rest out of net.

My main concern is not really that the birds might fly into it; even if they do bump into it they will soon learn to avoid that. This wildow has got several bars going across it, which divides it into smaller sections so it is easier to see.

However, I wonder if the birds would get stressed from seeing their own reflection all the time? I know they get kind of agitated whenever they see a mirror. Could they get used to it?

Quite a few people on this forum have built cages/aviaries with glass or acrylic front walls, and I don't think they have had any problem with the birds seeing their reflection. I personally think it is great to be able to get a clear view of the birds, without having to see past bars or mesh. The only drawback I have seen mentioned is that 'flying poop' tends to hit the glass, so you might want to plan for the easiest way to access that area to clean the glass.

I have placed sillouettes of black birds on my plexi glass for my tiels and budgies and I plan to do so for my finches. I purchased them where you buy outdoor bird seed. I also have them on all the windows of my house as I lost a red cheeked cordon bleu to a hit on a window
