I dont know where the pet shop got her from but she is the only one i have seen. i been to 6 petshops and 2 breeders and she is the first. She has black cheeks and a black chest and im so excited. will there be more of her kind if she breed with a normal or any other colors?

I don't know anything about them, but there is a fairly new mutation called black-cheeked Zebras. Maybe this is one of them.

I dont have any pics of my black cheeked zebs, but thats what she is, the males are gorgeous. when/if she breeds you should get a mix of blacks & normals from her, then if you got a black male pair that with her just once and use any young from that pairing with unrelated birds. will take some time & patience but you should be able to breed yourself a family of them.

some people wont like me saying breed the mother to a son but so long as it is only once then it is ok to do

Cool i was was hoping that was what she was. I know she has paired up with the biggest male in the cage n she may be getting ready to lay eggs because she has picked a nest to stay in and she does go in the nest more then she use to. hopefully there will be eggs soon.
