I made a post before about one of my zebra babies hatching and it falling out of the nest and everything. I'm happy to say I see at least three little babies in there and they've grown a bit so it's obvious they're feeding them and everything, so jut keep your fingers crossed!
Now, when I was cleaning my cage today I heard some peeping, so I automatically thought it would be the zebra babies (do they make peeping noises this early - the oldest would be 5 days old)... and I realised it wasn't coming from that nest, so I just stuck my head next to the box nest which my gouldians have been in for ages. You'll always see the boy with his head leaning against the hole of the nest and the female will be in it... and this has been a common occurrence for quite a while, she's in it now, and when I look in it she'll just peek her head up and look out at me (I'm looking from a distance).
But there is definitely peeping coming out of it - if I was to have any gouldians, how old would they be when they started peeping? Also, I will be obviously leaving them alone because I don't want to risk her leaving the babies, but what do you think the chances are I have gouldians as well?
