Thought they figured it out.

My zebras laid 4 eggs in their nesting box. I thought that everything was going so well. For the past three days, the male has been taking nesting material out of the box and then putting it back in. The hen hasn't been sitting on them as much because of this and they have managed to crack two of the eggs. After he gets in there, the eggs are moved into the different corners of the box. Hoping that the two left manage to hatch. I was really hoping that they had it figure out. They do well for the first few days and then it's all down hill.

That's often typical of Zebras and other finches. The males get bored and sometimes will want something to do while the female is incubating.
They will eventually figure it out.
