Question about zebra eggs

Post by kaluc66 » Fri Apr 25, 2008 9:57 am

My zebras have two eggs in their nesting box. Today makes it 14 days since she starting sitting on them. I did candle them. One looks like there is something in there. Looks like there are bubbles and there is a dark spot. There looks like there is still some space in the egg. I don't think that they will be hatching. How long should I give them before I take them out? This is their third clutch. They seem to get a little farther each time but no babies. I am thinking about removing the nesting box if these eggs don't hatch for a few months and giving them a break. I think that the male is lonely with the hen in the nesting box all the time. I would appreciate any opinions. Thanks

I would give them 3 full weeks.
