I purchased a friend for Omar, after Milo passed away, based on Finch Friends on this Forum.
I put out "in search of male Zebra finch" on local Facebook sites looking for a nearby breeder, but no replies.
So off to Petsmart again, I know, maybe not a good idea, but wanted to get one soon and I found the color I really liked.
I have "Baxter" in his own cage in a different room so he is quarantined. They have been chatting back and forth from "their rooms", so cute...
Baxter seems to be very active, singing a lot, eating and drinking good too.
I pray that nothing happens this time and I can get them together to be buddies.
Thanks for all your help.

Good luck with Baxter. Just be sure when you finally do introduce them together to change everything up in Omar's cage if that's their final home. It will help to put them both in a neutral territory vs Omar seeing Baxter as an interloper.

Congrats! I hope Baxter stays healthy and he and Omar get along, eventually.
