Anyone ever been to Paso Robles Bird Mart in California?

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to the forum, but not a newbie to finches I was wondering if anyone here has ever been to the Paso Robles Bird Mart. I have never been, as it is about an hour and a half drive. I am pondering at the idea of going to the one in september. If you have been to this particular one, what did you see? Were there live birds, and if so, what types? Were there bird supplies there as well? I am only interested in finches, particularly zebras. Do they sell exhibition quality finches, or any fancy mutations or varieties? I would like to know before hand as I would hate to drive that far for nothing. Also, anyone have any photos of the Paso Mart? I'd love to see them!!!

I don't know how far you are from Sacramento, but you might be interested in this show. It is a show, not a mart, but the best Zebra finches and Society finches on the West Coast will be there.

Oh, yes! I have considered going to the Sac show. It is very far away from me, a good 8 hours by vehicle, plus traffic, accidents, etc. I would love to attend it someday, but I need to stick to a 3 hour drive or less. I'd love to go just so I could meet Mr. Landry, but it is surely a journey there and back.

I understand, that is a long way. Most of the NFSS shows are in the fall, starting in September and ending with the Nationals in November. If you can attend a show sometime, it is a great opportunity to learn and to network. Judges are usually very good about answering questions and explaining what they are looking for in a good finch.
