Microscope and Fecal Samples

So I went ahead and bought myself a microscope. It has been something I wanted to years but now that I have a number of birds I have a good reason to buy it

I always liked biology and studied it when I was younger so that must help. I plan to use the scope to do fecal samples of my own birds.

I will definitely need some help in identification and wanted to see if there is anyone here on this board that is a bit of an expert and that I can ping now and then with questions The scope I have is a 40x-2500x trinocular with a digital camera included so i should be able to share the photos.

This will be such a valuable tool for diagnosing problems with your birds! I will be following this topic, as I too have wanted a microscope for years. Wow! That was interesting! What are those long "cigar" looking things? And the square thing that had about 12 dots in it??? Are these good things or bad things??? I know I'm going to be washing my hands more often...
