Photos of Sweety & Rejec
A couple of photos of my babies that greet me when I get home from work. First thing I do when I get home is go out to the aviary and check on my birds and give them fresh water and seed. I am such a creature of habit that these guys know what to expect and when!!! Sweety started flying towards me when I entered the aviary and couldn't wait to see what kind of treat I might have. Then yesterday, Rejec couldn't help himself and had to check it out for himself. He's still not as trusting as Sweety but his curiousity got the best of him! Sooooo sweet are these guys.....

Thank you! It has been a real challenge having an outdoor aviary with a mix of species living together in extreme, ever changing Texas weather. But when something like this happens it really makes it all worth it. Just trying to keep my birds as happy as they make me!!!

Jen - Nice birds. I bet they will be gorgeous when they finish coloring out.
How big is your aviary? How many birds do you have in it? I would love to have one outside. I keep dreaming.

The larger part of my aviary is about 16' x 12'. It has been a huge pleasure to add plants and watch my beautiful birds make nests, sing and fly "free" throughout the aviary. The only change will be the future "add on" section! LOL.... I'm only feeding the addiction and I know it....and I don't care.... Life is short and at my age...getting shorter...so it has been a dream come true for me to have this aviary.
Every time I look out my window or when I walk out to the aviary after work, it's the BEST! My neighbors come over to see my birds and my grandson knows his "Gammy" is crazy about birds LOL....who doesn't love birds??? I share photos with fellow employees at work and trying my hardest to spread the "bird bug", whether it becomes a hobby for some or for feeding backyard wild birds (where I started) I want it to catch on!!!

From what I can see in the pics your aviary looks like paradise! Can you post more pics of your aviary?? I'm building my aviary in the next month or two. I'm so excited! I've always wanted an aviary for the longest time.
