Listing finch

Post by awranic » Sat Nov 04, 2006 11:21 pm

Have a female zebra finch. She is listing to one side. I believe she strained a leg. Anything I could do for her. I allready put her in a cage by herself away from her mate.

If she strained a leg your best bet is probably to keep her as quiet as possible to give it a rest. Is she perching on one leg, or just leaning?

She is leaning. She tries to stand up on the leg but is leaning. She has been resting in her own cage and flies around some but mostly rests in the nest.

When you moved her to a smaller cage, did you examine the leg to notice if there was any injury to the leg? If not, I would do that. I agree to keep her in a small cage until she appears to be using the leg normally again.
