Heya gang!
Many know my new gouldian hen has been sitting tight since 10/14 (shes a great mom so far) and now it's fall here on the east coast USA, and my breeding pair Audy and Bri are doing great with the egg sitting. Male goes in right when the female eats, hen on eggs all night. Both parents are amazing.
Neither are bathing to dampen the eggs. With no rainfall, my in-house humidity is dropping to about 30%. The outside humidity is about the same.
I've put a humidifier in the living room about 4 feet from the flight cage, running continuously. But with cathedral ceilings, its still limping at about 33%.
Should I install 2-3 more humidifiers in the room, or is this stable enough for them to hatch? I dont want the babies to get stuck when they go to hatch in another 10 or so days.

Re: Humidity in room with broody gouldians
As long as you have a dish of water they can bathe in I would let the birds take care of the humidity. You may find they go on the water closer to their hatch date.
Best of luck
