Society & canaries laid eggs in same nest
I just noticed 7 eggs laid in a nest...5 small white ones & 2 larger grey ones. I'm assuming the small ones belong to the society & the larger ones to the canary. Should I leave all these eggs in the same nest or separate them. Both birds are sitting on the nest with the canary spending most of the time there. There is a little fighting going on over nest time. Do to limited avairy space...maybe I should just remove the society eggs & see if the canaries hatch?? This is all new to me and I appreciate any advice.

I don't have experience with canaries, but I do know that they feed completely different from Societies. The Canaries may not feed the Society babies and vice versa. Personally, I'd take out the Society eggs and see if the Canary eggs would hatch. But it all depends on what you want in babies--Societies or Canaries?

I would put another nest in the aviary, (as far as possible from the Canary nest) and move the Socies and their eggs into the new nest.
Society, tend to take over nests and incubate, hatch, and raise other species babies.
However, I don't think this will work with the Canaries (as Canaries can get fairly territorial about their nests), as you are already noticing.
With limited space, I would not personally encourage breeding, and would not keep nests in there after these first clutches hatch.
