baby finches

Post by Sue55 » Mon Jun 05, 2017 9:08 am

Well, it would seem that I have 5 babies and not 3 as I thought. Some are definately older than others. I have two sitting on a perch, another could be but just isn't quite ready and two are definately not ready.
I have one that is white and tan. So pretty, what is that colour called?

All seem to be doing fine. Shouldn't be long before they are all out and about.

Congrats! When parents start sitting right away, then the babies hatch on different days. This means that those babies will also fledge on different days. No problem, they all get taken care of when you have good parents.

My babies are zebra finches. I wish I could figure out how to post a pic.

Sally

Hi, mom and dad are good parents but we had to remove the dad because he was plucking the mom bald. Good parent, naughty spouse

I can tell you how I post pictures. It's the only way that works for me from my cell or my tablet (although other people do it differently).

First of all write your post, then...

1) Hit to the Preview left of submit
2) Click on Choose file down below Preview
3) Click on Document when window pops up
4) Click on the desired File
5) Then click on the desired Picture
6) This should take you back to the Forum
7) Now click on Preview once again, and your picture should appear below your post.

For example, I clicked on my Baby Birds File, then on a picture of Porky Pie, and there he is below my post as an attachment.

I hope it works for you.

Well done sue, it sounds like that yer baby zebras are probably fawn or normals,
You won't be able to properly tell what colour they are until they start to go into their first moult which should be in a few weeks time as at the moment they'll be in what we call there nest feather
