Dead chick inside egg

So the eggs have not hatched and it day 27 so I have took them out but whilst I was doing this i dropped one and it cracked and there is a half formed or formed chick in there. (I couldn't look felt )horrible

Dead in the shell chicks (DIS) can happen due to several reasons.
