The single female will be like a fifth wheel, always in the way, interupting breeding, causing problems. Plus your other female will feel a need to fight for her mate, and protect her nest constantly.
Personally, I would either remove the single female to another cage, or add another male into the equation.
No, Zebras are not like Societies.

Re: 2 females 1 male zebra finches,this possible ?
It actually depends on the individual birds, just be ready to separate if need be. I had 4 females with one male, that is just how it ended up. He paired with one who he groomed and everything, the other 3 were just fine. Eggs were laid and two females that never seemed bonded with him started sitting on them. The did start chasing one female so I removed her after I noticed a chick had hatched. That chick didn't make it though, they seemed to neglect it.
The male never seemed interested in the nest, so I ended up just removing him too. Next thing I know, those females that had been caring for the eggs, sat enough that eggs hatched and I have 4 healthy chicks who are about a week old. I don't know who the mother/mothers are for sure. But since two are caring for them, I assumed it was them. Yet he never showed interest in them...They continue to care for the chicks themselves. But lesson learned that males will mate with other females. I took him out so that quit happening, he's just with one female now. Once chicks are weaned, I'm going to separate by sex unless at that point the male has had eggs with the one female. Either way, when it comes to breeding its easier to just pair off.

Loving owner to Juniper the Aussie/Heeler mix, 8 zebra finches, one pair of red-cheeked cordon blues and one pair of red-billed firefinches.

Thanks stargazerwolf u helped me there and to be honest my female who is already paired to him is a nasty one for sure today I found out that in the aviary she built her self an alcove with the leaves so she's sectioned of from the other birds and every time one came near she would stick her head out of the leaves and hiss them away after about an hour she came out and had a bath with them so I'm not sure if she would accept another female

Re: 2 females 1 male zebra finches,this possible ?
Fraser,
It has been my limited experience that zebra aggressiveness seems to be passed on to the offspring. Aggressive parent(s) = aggressive offspring. So I stopped breeding my aggressive zebras.
This is not to say that a mild mannered zebra could not turn aggressive, because some have turned aggressive. I never figured out the triggers that bring out the aggressive behavior.
This aggressive behavior is what finally made me abandon breeding zebras.
