Dad and Daughter birds

Post by coolestcat_99 » Sun Nov 16, 2008 1:32 pm

Last night the mother of 3 Zebra finches I have died. Now all I have is the father and daughter. Is it o.k. to keep them together or should I seperate them so they don't breed.

Being Zebras, it doesn't matter if you get a replacement hen....the male will breed with his daughters irregardless! I'd take the nest out, (if there is one in the cage) or remove the daughters.

I agree with removing the daughter because i have zebras and i know they will breed with any female. Luckily mine have never done that
