update on my bald gouldian

Post by dfcauley » Tue Mar 10, 2009 6:43 pm

I posted back in October about my gouldian hen that was going bald.
She was the only one that this was happening to and no matter what I did nothing helped. I gave her extra iodine , kelp and eggfood.

Today I noticed her and she has pin feathers all over her head. I am soooo excited because I truly thought that she would just be bald from now on.

Here is her picture. I am going to post again after she finished her molt for the after picture!

She has been completely bald for the past six months so I am very happy to see this today.

That's terrific, Donna!! To what would you attribute the new pin-feathers to?

Well poohbear had sent in a picture of one of his goudians that he said had been bald for years. So.... I was just expecting this one to be.

Don't know what made things better for her...... she went through a molt and they are coming back. I am just glad about it.
