





Sorry the pics aren't great...they are a bit washed out in the tan carrier w/flash on the camera.
I not sure they are top grade "A" pearls...
from what I've read they come in 4 grades(A,B,C,D) depending on color intensity,clarity/definition of pattern,etc., but their colors and pattern look like they carry the pearl traits(silvery head,wings and tail and chocolate self pattern/color on the neck and back).One of them has a bit clearer pattern/color definition than the other.
The supplier had them in with a bunch of other pied societies and they cost me $8/each...
I figured that was quite a bargain if they are pearls!!
I have no idea what sex they (or my other 2 societies) are...haven't heard anyone singing,yet...only chirps from all,so far.
I'm not even sure what males sound like anyway(maybe someone could help me out here,too).
I'll try and get better pics when they're settled into the quarantine cage.
Any input would be appreciated.
