First - welcome, Tamgeorge!
I moved your post to a separated heading as it is a question and not really belonging under "Introductions". Though we would love to have you introduce yourself in that forum.
As for having Societies with Zebras - I do have one pied Zebra male in with a mix of 6 Society Finches. It may depend on the individual birds however. My pied Zebra male was being picked on mercilessly by bigger white Zebra males (with no females around).
Looking forward to seeing your introduction!

The Societies are not usually a problem, and as in Liz's case, one Zebra will do fine. It really depends on how many Zebras and how many Societies and what size cage, and then you still have to contend with individual personalities. Just remember that as a general rule, Societies are passive, Zebras are pushy, and mixing passive with pushy means you have to keep an eye on things.

Re: Mixing Society Finches with Zebra Finches
As Sally mentioned, I would keep an eye on them.
I had 3 societies and 2 fledgling zebras in my quarantine cage.
I had to pull the female zebra as soon as I could, as she was harrassing the societies, and chewing their tails and making the societies tails ratty.
The male fledgling was fine and went with the societies to their breeding cage. Then I put an egg in the nest, and he changed personalities. He took over the nest hissing at the societies and preventing the societies from coming close to the nest. And he was only about 2 months old at that point. So he had to be removed, since I needed the societies to foster eggs.
I have another zebra who probably would do fine with societies, as he is quite mellow.
So what I am saying, is that it will depend on the personality of the specific bird.

Re: Mixing Society Finches with Zebra Finches
Hi... and welcome to the forum...
I started out with Zeb's last year..then added a pair of societies. My female Zeb was very aggressive while she had babies. (which seemed like all the time) so I gave that pair to a friend and went just with societies. They are much calmer and get along welll with everyone. I have since added Java's, Gouldians, spice and even a canary, althogh everyone is not at the time mixed in the aviary because its almost winter... but will be in the spring..
Good luck... Hopefully your zeb female is nicer than mine...
