I should pick up some dry egg food. They might take that better - I could mix it with the Miracle Meal.
I bought a bag as a back up, and I used it the other day, and WOW did they go nuts! I bought Quiko Classic Egg Food Supplement, it has honey in it plus a lot of suppliments/vitamins. They love it (especially my little crossbeak BC female, who has a hard time eating many other things.

I would note that young birds in a clutch seem to moult at different stages from each other. It's like they are not syncranized. Why would this be ??
That is a great question. Apparently Lucy's other two chicks who don't live here anymore are not molting according to my friend who owns them now. So I guess it was triggered by moving them to the window bench and opening the window, and allowing the sun to shine in on the cage
