I would keep the new bird well away from the hen. Even if she were to only hear him singing, she could become distracted and abandon the chicks. Keep them in opposite ends of the house, as far apart as possible.
Zebras are breeding machines and are often eager to start on a second family before they have raised the first. Once the chicks are fully independent you could move the hen into the males cage. Take care.

When you are ready to get a new mate, quarantine him in a separate room for 6-8 weeks. During this time it is okay to treat for mites and worms.
