Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

I'm a keeper of Red Factor & Fife canaries. Our breeding season is just starting up. They are now all paired up in the breeding cages, so fingers crossed, I hope it will be a good season.

Welcome Rusty and good luck with your breeding season!! I'm sure you will enjoy the site :D

I have 2 pairs of Fife canaries in my aviary who decided to start their breeding season early... No luck yet but its early days still. I love them, full of character and the males never stop singing!

Welcome Rusty! Where do you live? It is good info in case you need local advise plus we are all curious. Pictures are nice too! A couple of members of the Ft. Worth Bird Club have canaries of several varieties. They are neat birds!
