Hi there!
I agree that this cage looks ok until you can get a larger one. I have my male canary in a large flight cage, and he uses every square inch of it. If you don't want to spend too much, go to Petco…they have a great, inexpensive flight cage that will make your boy very happy! Do you find that having yours I the flight cage he tends to sing more or less? Is is difficult to catch him to trim nails In a cage as this?
