Is this too small?

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Hi there!
I agree that this cage looks ok until you can get a larger one. I have my male canary in a large flight cage, and he uses every square inch of it. If you don't want to spend too much, go to Petco…they have a great, inexpensive flight cage that will make your boy very happy! Here's a link to the cage on Amazon…Petco will usually price match their online sales, in-store: Petco Flight Cage Link
Also, my canary LOVES toys! I get a lot of mine from the pet store but I have purchased several from this site: Toys for Small Birds Link
Good luck!

Mine is in what could be considered a small aviary and sings alllllll day! :D I use a bird net to catch him. This is to avoid injuring him and it makes it so I can catch him with little effort. I purchased the bird net on Amazon too. :) just make sure you get a smaller one with a short handle.
