Took a few pics today

Post by JohnBoy » Sat Jul 24, 2010 9:42 pm

I have been having trouble with my camera not focusing properly. In fact its never really focused properly. I usually need to shoot 5 + pics of the same thing to get one in focus. Stay away from Nikon Coolpic's cameras. I went on line and there are millions of complaints about the problems Nikons have with focusing.

Anyway here are a few pics of the ones that came out.

Wonderful collection of birds! I too have a Nikon Coolpic and agree--pictures that should be in focus are not. They will look in focus when I shoot them, and then when I upload them to my computer, they are fuzzy. I used to have a Kodak Easyshare, very simple camera, but it took much better pictures than this Nikon. I sometimes shoot dozens of photos to get a few really clear ones.

Nice pictures. I'm using focus on the central point of my Sony camera or it can catch background instead of the birds and it doesn't work every time either.
I see your male Paradise Whydah has a tail, mine lost it months ago.

Lovely tail on that Whydah! What finch is nesting in the white gourd you have hanging up? You have a beautiful collection of finches! :D

The birds look really good. Is that a cut throat hen in the gourd?? I have the Nikon coolpix S230 and it does the same thing it looks good when you take the pic but comes out blurry sometimes.

Yes, It is a cutthroat hen in the gourd. Good eyes! She has clutch in there. She usually has a clutch of 3, always 2 males and one female. :D
