I use this recipe, but I have 30 finches. I really like this because it provides lots of protein with that much egg, yet you can leave it in their cage all day without it spoiling. It is drier than just plain egg, and my birds like it better. I do freeze it (I do as the person who posted it, divide it into 8 portions), and just have to take out a piece in the morning, and then later I either grate it or put it thru my mini food processor. I serve it plain or I add chopped up veggies. I take the 12 eggshells, zap them in the microwave, put them in a ziplock bag, and crush them with a rolling pin--then I just add some to each oystershell grit dish. The birds gobble this up. I don't give them this eggbread every day when they are resting, but when breeding or molting, they get lots of it. I would imagine you could downsize it, I just never have.
